Each design project calls for specialist
skills. We can call on independent
designers and artworkers who work
in a broad church of creative disciplines.
Our mentor is Art Director John Goodinson.
The greatest tool for a graphic designer is
a creative mind and the ability to imagine.
Special awareness and harmony with an
analytical way of thinking are required for
designing page layouts, company logos,
promotional press material and advertising
campaigns.
A defining factor of graphic design can be
seen in the application of typography, the
structure of a page, the grid, the choice,
scale and positioning of either photography
or illustration to reinforce metaphorically
the statement within the text.

Today in the 21st century the eye and the
hand are augmented with digital tools.
Selecting the appropriate tool in which to
resolve a problem at hand is a key skill
in design.
It is also very much a skill to 'set aside’
our technology and create new and original
artwork. Free the artist from the constraints
of the monitor and the regime of the software.
Stylised pencil work, the sable brush and
the steel nib (thank you Searle and Scarfe)
are as much a part of the artists' tools as
the mouse ever was.
However, thank you Adobe and Quark.
